Submission guidelines

Before submitting your abstract, please review the submission terms and conditions.

Abstracts can be submitted for the following presentation types:

Oral presentations


Each accepted presentation will be offered between 15 and 20 minutes to present, including time for questions.

Monash HDR students must have completed their 12-month milestone review


Poster presentations


A formal graphic presentation of a topic, to be displayed. Presenters to be at their posters to discuss their work and receive feedback. Posters must be no larger than A0 size (84.1cm wide × 118.9cm high) and portrait orientation.

The Submission Process

The following details must be provided when submitting an abstract for consideration (see template available):

  • Contact details for the submitting author (this should also be the presenter)
  • Title, first name, surname, affiliation, state and country for presenters and co-authors

  • Abstract title

  • Abstract (300 word maximum)

  • Requested presentation type

  • Biography of presenter(s) (150 word maximum)

  • Headshot photograph of presenter(s)

Abstract submission terms and conditions

The submission of an abstract indicates the acceptance of the following terms and conditions:

  • All abstracts must be submitted via the online submission portal and according to the guidelines provided.

  • Abstract submissions will not be accepted after 23rd August 2019.

  • All abstracts submitted must be original work.

  • All author(s) approve submitting this work for presentation.

  • The author(s) are responsible for the accuracy of the abstract.

  • The Conference Committee’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

  • If the abstract is accepted for presentation, the author(s) transfer(s) all copyright ownership of the named abstract to CEPA and provides permission to publish the abstract in the conference program, on the conference website and in all other conference materials.

  • At least one author will register and attend the conference to present the abstract if selected for the program. The author will immediately notify the Conference Manager if they are unable to present the abstract or if the presenting author is changed. The organisers reserve the right to remove a presentation from the program.

  • The acceptance of an abstract for the Conference does not imply the provision of travel, accommodation or registration for the Conference, nor any other costs associated with preparation or presentation of the abstract. All authors presenting at the Conference must register to attend. Further details regarding registration will be included in your acceptance correspondence.

  • The author(s) agree(s) to materially confine their presentations to information in the abstract if your abstract is accepted for presentation.
     

Unless otherwise stated during the submission process. Please refer to our "Photography and Privacy" terms and conditions.

  • The presenting author gives CEPA permission to film or photograph the presentation at the Conference.

  • The presenting author gives CEPA permission to audio record your presentation.

  • The presenting author gives CEPA permission to publish your PPT presentation in PDF to CEPA members after the Conference.
     

If your presentation contains confidential or protected information,

please contact the organising committee at

The organising committee will ensure that no images or video

will recording during your presentation.
